Martin imi was founded in September 2000 by James F. Martin and his son, Matt Martin. Jim is the founder and former CEO of Martin Color-Fi, Inc. and has over 35 years of experience in textiles. He is a graduate of Clemson University with a B.S. degree in Textile Management. He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the American Fiber Manufacturers Association. Matt Martin spent several years in sales at Martin Color-Fi prior to the start-up of Martin IMI. He is a 1996 graduate of Clemson University with a B.S. in Management and Finance.
